Two in the same day?! McCain is seriously disappointing and a vast departure from his “independent” days. He’s become a 100% Conservative Republican Shill. He’ll do virtually anything to win over the Republican base. Sad.

ThinkProgress.org noted today that McCain’s top economic advisor, Carly Fiorina, claimed on Fox News that Obama hasn’t proposed one single tax cut, despite details to the contrary on his campaign website.

The best part, was this quote:

FIORINA: So I think what you have here is Barack Obama, without a great deal of understanding in the economy, going back to the same old tax- and-spend philosophies of the liberal Democratic past. He reminds me a bit of Jimmy Carter — or Herbert Hoover, even worse.

So this coming from the McCain campaign, the same John McCain who has repeatedly said he doesn’t really understand economics? The same John McSame who is basically running on the Bush economic policy – the one, you know, that is spend and cut taxes, leading us to massive deficits and a deepening recession? Yeah, that’s him.

And as ThinkProgress noted, the same John McCain that has been less than forthcoming about his own economic plan:

In the same segment, Fiorina claimed that her boss, John McCain, “has been very explicit about the taxes he will cut.” But she neglected to mention that McCain is far from explicit in explaining how he’ll pay for massive deficits created by his tax proposals. In fact, he refuses to name a single program he’ll cut.

So, when do the gloves come off, MSM? You are the ones that said as soon as there were two running for President, McCain would get the same scrutiny, weren’t you?
